Driving school website
When you’re designing a website, it’s important that you research the particular niche for that website. So if you’re designing a driving school website, it’s clear that you need to know a bit about driving schools!
So, if you were designing a website for a driving instructor, what factors would you consider? Well firstly you would need to know some basic facts from the client – prices, contact details for the website and his or her unique selling points such as high pass rate, block booking discounts etc. It is important however that you also know some other basic information to ensure that you don’t put any misleading information on the site. These factors would be such things as the age that people can start learning to drive, licence restrictions, details of the driving test(s) in the geographical area where the driving school is located.
Another important factor will be the use of keywords both in the text and in the Meta tags. The Google keyword tool can help you here. You will find that there are many different keyword combinations that people use when searching for a driving school in their location. You might think that “Yourtown Driving School” would be the strongest combination. However, in the UK the combination “Driving lessons Yourtown” gets many more exact match searches.
In terms of design, there are plenty of cheap stock images available with pictures of L Plates and particularly popular are pictures of pupils ripping up their L Plates. However these images are somewhat commonplace and so it really is best to try to get your own images. As driving instruction is very much a person-to-person service it’s also a great idea to get a photo of the instructor, maybe standing next to the car.
